About

I’m a regular guy who likes shooting. I started GunDetails.com as a way for me to share one of my favorite hobbies with others. I’ve been hunting since I was a kid, but in the last several years I’ve developed an interest in guns other than the standard hunting rifles and shotguns.

When I was first getting into shooting, I spent a lot of time browsing the internet, trying to learn more about everything that has to do with shooting; handguns, holsters, ammo, targets, you name it. One thing that I’ve realized is that there is a lot of great information out there on the internet, but unfortunately that information is scattered all over the place and can be difficult to find and filter through.  I thought this website would be a great way for me to create a compilation of all the great information I’ve learned so far, and to share that information with other shooters like me.

Let me be clear, I am not a shooting “expert”, but one thing that I am an expert on is my own opinion. I know what I like, and I know what works for me. The skills and knowledge that I have about shooting are the result of my own experiences and research. As with everything in life, everyone has their own opinion, and it is up to you to decide which opinions are worth listening to and which ones are not.

This website will be a continuous work in progress, and I hope the information I present will be found useful to other shooters and hunters. So, that’s the who, what, where, and why about GunDetails.com.  I hope you enjoy the site and learn a little something along the way.

Have a good one,

Tom
